It is planned that the AFNS Army Jobs Salary Initial Test will be a computerized test held at the ASRC. MCQs will be included in the first test of intelligence, which will cover both verbal and nonverbal intelligence. MCQs will be provided for Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English & General Knowledge on the second portion of the exam.
Eligibility Criteria for Armed Forces Nursing Service (AFNS)
- There are 17-25 year olds in the age range
- A height of 5 feet (152.4 cm)

- A minimum of 60% marks at matriculation
- The pre-medical section of the FSC (50%)

AFNS Female Nursing Further Selection Process
A candidate who passes the Armed Forces Nursing Services AFNS tests will undergo an initial medical examination to ensure their body requirements meet Pakistani Army standards. As soon as the initial medical examination has been cleared. Those called for interviews will receive their call-up letters soon.
Army stations will be used to interview candidates for the GHQ Selection Board. Candidates recommended during interviews will undergo a final medical exam at a nearby CMH hospital. The candidate’s selection will be determined by their overall performance.

- Nursing college students receive 50,000 rupees per month as stipends during their four year studies.
- The Army Nursing Officer salary starts at 78,000 Rupees and increases to 85,000 Rupees after Degree Completion. The Army Nursing Officer will also receive free mess and free housing.
- A uniform of an officer’s uniform can be divided into two types. A field nurse serves in wards and clinical setups across all CMH Hospitals. Their uniform consists of a Khaki Pent shirt and a Green cap. Armed Forces Nursing Services Officers wear Khaki Sarhi Uniform, similar to female doctor Captains with green caps, while male doctor Captains wear red caps.

- Photocopies of each educational certificate (originals and attested copies).
- Photocopy of a domicile that has been attested.

- The following 3 x color photos must be duly attested (front and back)
- Paid Rs. 100/- via postal order to the Director General of Personnel
- Rawalpindi General Headquarters Administration (DGPA).

Ranks of AFNS in Pakistan Army
- As AFNS, Cadets in the Pakistan Army undergo training at the College of Nursing of AFPGMI as well as other Colleges of Nursing of the CMH.
- Cadets attend college of nursing for four years during which they are called cadets.
- Following completion of their BS Nursing program, they attend AFPGMI Rawalpindi for basic military training.
- A Lieutenant is the initial rank of the AFNS after passing out.
- A major in the AFNS becomes a Lieutenant Colonel, then a Lieutenant Colonel becomes a Colonel, and finally a Colonel becomes a Colonel. In some cases, AFNSs can become Brigadiers (Administrative Duties).
